About

A lot of people have asked me why my site is named Total (dis)Order. The origins of the name date back to my freshman year of college; back when my website was still Rampancy Multimedia. I had decided to change the name of it because:
1. It was way too long.
2. It had a kind of I’m-An-Obsessive-High-School-Computer-Geek feel to it.
Both points were explained to me by various peers, and by about the 150th time I was told this, I decided to change. For guidance, I went to my good friend Nirav, who at the time seemed like the most likely of all my friends to become the next internet guru (jury’s still out on whether I was right). At the time, we were working on a problem set for our Applied Math class, and the following phrase was uttered “Wait. Instead of a total order, we had a total disorder?” We both laughed at that, partially because it was 4 in the morning, and partially because we both have immensely geeky senses of humor. Once I started thinking about it, though, I determined it would be a great name for my website. It implies a lack of organization, but because its a total disorder, there must be some sort of control over the situation.
And that’s how my life tends to be.
My name is Ted Aronson. I’m an engineering student with a thoughtful side, a coder with aspirations of designing games, a maker with some of the worst luck ever, and an experimental bartender who refuses to call himself a mixologist. Here, I will discuss games, projects, cocktails, and life in general. Please enjoy the disorder.
